Connecting Windows 7 to XP environment

May 26, 2010 6:45AM PDT

I recently purchased an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed.

I am running a home network using a Linksys router to which I have connected a Linksys wireless router. Don't ask me why I just don't use the Linksys wireless router and get rid of the regular router because I already tried that and experienced speed and other connectivity issues. I was able to get on the internet with the new Windows 7 laptop but could not get it to connect or view my other two XP desktops folders or shared printer.

I have another laptop with XP installed and have no problems printing or accessing files on the desktops. I'd like to get the Windows 7 laptop to do the same but have not been able to solve the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to configure Home Network in Windows 7 and check if you are able to see the windows library on the xp machines. Check on this and than let me know, will guide you further....
