Some cable companies, DSL provider FORBID such sharing of service so I would not advertise this. Also you do leak private information this way so never check banks statements, do any purchases over such a connection.
As to that other question, the setup is not well known about and taxes the gurus so I'll write "no."
Here's my scenario. My wife has a laptop computer and she can connect to other wireless networks near our house( we don't have our own internet connection). We also have a regular desktop pc. I have a linksys router and a wireless-b adapter. When I plugged in the wireless-b it does not find the same networks my wife's laptop does, in fact it finds none at all. Does anyone know how to fix this, or is there a way to share the internet connection she gets on her laptop with our desktop pc by using the wireless-b? Thanks.
