Question

Connecting speakers to TV....again

Mar 31, 2018 9:40AM PDT

Hi guys! I'm attempting to hook up some old speakers (jvc ux b1013) to a friends TV and I have no clue what I'm doing! The TV only has RCA and AUX output. I've tried to find a simply solution but I keep going round in circles. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Very few TVs have RCA OUTPUTS for audio.

Let's get the full model number or better yet a link to that model.

I see a HEADPHONE jack so that could be used to get analog out to an amplifier to drive your 20W JVC speakers. The TV outputs won't drive these directly.

Now an adventurous tech could cut the internal speakers and install a jack for the externals but I rarely meet such today.

So in short, headphone jack goes to amplifier. Amplifier goes to your speakers.
