The best help and advice comes with you full model number. It's really hard to know a solution without all the information.

My phone can make a mobile hot spot and so far there is no "code" involved. It shows on the TV as any other WiFi does from a good router does.

Frankly your android box may be better than most smart TVs. Why not keep using that?

smart tv connection through wifi hub

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply.....I want the smart TV because the house is a rental and guests would get on better with everything through TV rather than extra boxes. I also dont understand what you are saying, sorry, novice here. I expected to plug TV in put in my wifi codes and away I would go.I cant use any cables to connect to the mobile hub because there isnt anywhere to put them. I assumed it would be like my tablet...internet after codes in like any wifi zone but alas not. The set up screen only gives you options for wireless if you click on that you have to connect. LAN cable or if wired then connect to wired..which I understand, but wifi is none of those is it? Maybe I need broadband....but cant get an answer from anyone. Would appreciate help if possible. Thanks

I can't teach an entire course on networking in this small text box. I can share that my phone (and my friends that do such work) make a hotspot just like a router does. There is no code to input, you connect up just like you always do to a WiFi spot so there's nothing more I can add here.

I wonder if this is all new to you and you don't know the lingo. But I would be guessing here. I have yet to hear folk call connecting to a WiFi spot a code.

not a lot of patience

Clearly I am a novice and maybe I can't help here because I Dont speak the correct lingo as you pointed out....I didn't realise you needed to be eloquent in the lingo to ask for help, I will leave this forum and ask elsewhere. Others may be more patient.

No lingo issue here.

I get the feeling you want the entire network course summed up or given here in the forum on demand. I could be wrong.

But as it stands I can assure you that I've used dozens of hotspots via many things over the years. So I'm waiting for you to reveal what's failing for you. Sometimes it takes dozens of posts to find out what's going on.
