Connecting Samsung TV to Wireless Network

I've followed the instructions provided in my TV owner manual (poor as they were), but always get "gateway ping failed" message during network test. What must I do to set this up? Do I need to disable firewall on Linksys? Info on Samsung website is never available - phone help useless. Thanks.
