Connecting PS3 to the HT-X810 soundbar

What would be the best way to connect a Sony Play Station 3 to the Samsung HT-X810 soundbar, in order to use it as a blue ray player? (Tv: Samsung UE46B8000)

Connecting PS3 to the HT-X810 soundbar

xenokyriazis,

I would run the game console's video directly to the TV via HDMI, and then run the audio via optical from the game console directly to the soundbar for best results.

Does that help?

xenokyriazis,

Try adjusting the audio settings the PS3's menu, so that the audio goes through the optical to the soundbar.

Connecting PS3 to the HT-X810 soundbar - AUDIO Settings

The HDTech mentioned the following:

"Try adjusting the audio settings the PS3's menu, so that the audio goes through the optical to the soundbar."

Can you explain? Do I need to have a cable connected from the Soundbar to the PS3? or, Can I do HTMI from PS3 to TV and Optical from TV to Soundbar?

Ivonne
