Connecting my Windows 7 64 Bit OS To My Samsung LE37A456 TV.

by TASXOF / January 26, 2011 4:36 AM PST

I am trying to connect my pc to my tv using a hdmi to hdmi cable and nothing is happening.
I understand that i need to go to the pc on the source button which i have done, but there is nothing there,so i'm thinking that the tv will not recognise the PC ?How can i get the Samsung tv to recognise my PC FIRSTLY then i can deal with the display properties later on..
Thanks for a reply

I have my PC hooked up to the UN55C8000 TV and it just works. I have DVI to HDMI cable though. I didn't have to do anything special.

TASXOF,

The PC input would be the 15-in D-Sub connection. If you're using HDMI, then plug your PC into the HDMI port you want to use. What happens when you turn to that input?

I am using HDMI to HDMI for connecting purposes and i have a ATI Radeon 5450 Graphics card,i have managed to configure the card to recognise the Samsung TV In the Catalyst Control Centre, however nothing shows on the TV panel and when i look for the PC connection on the input source in the TV menu ,the option is not highlighted ??Why for gods sake..i have been at this for 3 days now.

PS the cable is brand new and is 5 mts in length.
