You mention LAN and landline(telco) but these are totally different ports. The LAN may look like a telco port but are different. One is RJ-11(telco) and the other is RJ-45(LAN). Just thought I'll point that out if in fact that was the action of using one for the other. Check links:

I have recently acquired a chair. This chair is a massage chair controlled from the arm of one side and has a landline the arm of the other side.
I do not have landline service, but I wish to do two things: #1 - I want to make this chair work as a phone without a landline connection. I can buy the materials just fine, but I suspect that a LAN Adapter will suffice. In fact, I have the computer plugged into the chair via the LAN Adapter at the moment.
#2 - I want to bluetooth the **** out of this phone speaker.
It, of course, does not (yet) have bluetooth capabilities.
Any thoughts?
