Connecting my brand new S8+ to my ford sync system

I hate this phone! i had a Samsung S5 it "Attached" to the sync system so i can hands free take and make calls, but this piece of crap S8+ will not connect. I checked the ford website and the S8+ is not compatible with SYNC I'm pissed.
So now i have a piece of **** phone i cannot use in my car. should have gone to an "I" phone

When phones began to pair with cars there were a lot of phones that did not and many screams as the car makers were completely clueless.

Ford for a time used Microsoft for their Ford Sync program but until Ford execs finding themselves out in the middle of nowhere with a dead GPS system to figure out Microsoft was being lax on the job.

If this is that important, is replacing the nav unit an option?
