Connecting Laptop to my Desktop Computer

by weston_w / January 31, 2009 5:24 AM PST

Let me describe the situation. I am 18, living in a house with the parents for a while longer.
There is a computer downstairs, and I have a personal laptop of my own.

Of course, the computer is much nicer, with a flat screen and a better internet connection.

I have WoW (World of Warcraft)on my laptop, due to the fact that my Pops does not want his HD being taken up by 10 GBs of a computer game.

So, I have a question.
Is there any way I could use my laptop as somewhat as an "external HD" so that I can play WoW on my desktop computer from time to time?

While ICS is available, and routers allow sharing, what you want to do is not possible. You cannot access the program from another computer.

Minimal Install Option?

Does WoW have an option to do a minimal install? I know many other games do. Perhaps your dad won't mind losing a gig or two instead.
