Connecting DVD player to HDTV via HDMI - is DVD DAC used?

I'm looking for a DVD player with HDMI output to connect to my new Plasma TV. There are several models that I am comparing. One critical factor in DVD player quality is the type of DAC used. DAC's with more sampling bits and higher sampling rates usually perform bigger and cost more. Now, since the HDMI interface is all-digital (no analog conversion), do I need to be concerned with the DVD players DAC's?

Has your screen got a HDMI input, also did u know your picture quality is much worse than a DLP TV??? Plasma is poo yet twice as expensive as a DLP Rear projection 30 cm deep TV, also in the next year ur goona have to have the plasma re-injected cos it runs out and your picture will degrade gradualy as the plasma gets older until its unwatchable..?

Sell it now why people still dont realise this and buy a real HDTV DLP HD2+ chip TV
