connecting computer to flat panel (plasma) tv

by tubers / October 30, 2003 5:22 AM PST

New at this so any help would be greatly appreciated. We connected a plasma tv and crt monitor to a machine running Win 98se equipped with an ati radeon 9000 pro graphics card. The display works on both monitor and tv, but the tv picture is blurry and I can't seem to find the right resolution to get the picture to fill the screen. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this? Do I need a different graphics card?

I've been fairly unhappy with every TV Out I've tried.

If you are going to try another card, make your needs known and tell them the card is coming back if it doesn't work proper.

I'm on card number 8.

I have a HP media centre and am doing research on connecting my LG 50" Plasma

The media centre has a VGA connection but no DVI the plasma has a VGA also , from what i gather i use the VGA and RCA (red, white) to plasma .

Question : Do i connect everything lower the resolution on my tv and then make adjustments ? also what about the graphics card that my media centre came with , do i have to upgrade ?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
