I have an LG 47SL90 TV with optical digital audio out and a set of analog computer speakers with RCA plug inputs. I connected the digital to analog converter to the TV's optical digital output & plugged the speakers into the other side with the RCA plugs. Works just fine. The only thing is that the volume level for the speakers is constant & doesn't vary when you change the TV's sound level.
I have a 55" LG LED TV, 55LN5400.
I read where in order to connect computer speakers, use a "Y" connector in the R and L RCA outlets on TV and plug speakers into 3.5mm female end. I've tried turning off the sound on TV and it still doesn't work.
Can anyone help me with this? I found an adapter on eBay that will allow me to plug into the digital audio outlet on the TV. Will this work?
Thanks
Alan
