and discussed often in these forums. You buy an external enclosure for your drive that has a USB interface. There are plenty to choose from. You need one that fits a 3.5" drive. You just need to connect it to a working USB port on your PC. You'll need to set the jumper on the drive to cable select or a position that identifies it as a single drive. Your OS might make some differences in how detect and configure it. With XP and SP2, it's a breeze.
I have an extra HD which I need to connect to my system. The desktop I have does not have room or cable to connect a slave HD.
Can I get a cable that has a USB on one end so I can connect it to my desktop? Any idea?
