Feb 12, 2009 5:20AM PST

I want to connect my Acer Travelmate 5720 Laptop has (VGA, DVI, S-Video output ports)to my Samsung rear projection PCL545R HDTV which has (two RCA audio input and one RCA video input and S-Video jack on the front panel. The rear panel has also audio input jacks ,component1(480i,480p)and component 2(480p,1080i).Whats the best option and what would I need for connectors?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..Mike

Miken10,

Well, it looks like the only standard that both systems share is the S-video.

DVI could be converted into HDMI, except you don't have HDMI or DVI on the television.

Component is on the television, but you don't have that input on your computer. Unless that can be done with an external USB video card hooked up via USB (does such a thing exist with component?) I think S-Video is the only option.
