It's quite common - in a Microsoft environment - to have a MSSQL server and a file server and a print server and a Sharepoint server and a webserver in the same network, either as a separate machine or as a virtual server on the same machine.
The network manager will know how to do it. Just ask him.
But I should start asking the new programmer to explain to the network manager why his program needs a server of its own and can't run on the same server as the old program.
hi to all,,i just need some suggestion coz im having a problem here,,
so here's my situation:
we have a server with a program on it and hold its database, which client pc connect to it.unfortunately the programmer leave the organization without leaving some trace. and now the organization decided to hire new programmer and created his own program and he wanted to connect all the pc's (client) to both servers (old and new server)
coz he say's that we cannot just leave the old server because there's an account or data that we have to access there..
is that possible to connect 2 servers in a single lan?
2 servers (old and new)
24 port switch
17 client pc's
pls...help me,,any suggestions will be appreciated
