That sounds like a client device. For example a Reaver USB client can be set up with a directional antenna and well, too many posts about that already so I'll stop here.

there is a wifi router which is out of range for me to connect wirelessly to my laptop so i was thinking to buy a wifi router which connects to my laptop an then connect to another wifi router which has a internet connection so i was thinking is it possible to do so
