Connect to schools network

Oct 27, 2005 7:41AM PDT

Hello,
I'v recently bought a laptop with Win XP home. At my school we have a network domain that you must connect to if you want to get access to your files and the internet.

How do I become a member of that domain/how do I connect to it with Win XP home (I don't want to always use that domain because I will only use it at school) and I do have a username and password?

BestRegards
Oskar R

You need XP Pro to connect to their system.

No, there is no workaround.

Check with your school for options on getting Windows XP Pro. They may have a deal with Microsoft to get you an inexpensive copy of XP Pro.
