the Service Tech didn't do his job properly. He didn't check his work by re-booting to see if the modem/internet connection still worked.
As it is under warranty and seemingly their error, I would call it in.

Purchased a Hp Pavilion 1020N in May. I had it for a day and they thought the modem was out because I kept getting the message of "NO Dial tone" so had modem replaced. I could connect while the service tech was there but after I shut down and restarted I got the message that the other computer was not answering in a timely manor, so I retried now I get the message that another device is using the port or the port is not configured properly. So how can I find out what other device might be using the port or where do I get help to configure the port???? Or could it be a bigger problem with the computer than just the modem, because the problems keep showing up when I try connecting???
