Question

Connect Samsung Plasma to Wii

I just brought a new samsung plasma, I only have one set of Component/AV input sockets in the tv. I have plugged the cords in but it is not being recognised as a component? I have a Panasonic also and all components just plug straight in and have no problems.
Do I just need a HDMI Converter and plug the cords in accordingly, then plug the HDMI into that output??
