Not familiar with specific application but general hints:
1) Test PC connecting to internet thru specific connector to be used by device. If not work then connection bad.
2) If work then configuration issue. Most devices have less flexibility than PCs. If currently configure local router with DHCP, try using a fixed address in "192.168." series (same first three segments as router/gateway, last segment a fixed number 1-255 not assigned to any other device. Some devices can not assign IP addresses and thus require a fixed IP address.
3) If this does not solve problem, try temporarily disabling wireless security and see if can make work. This rules out a wireless secutity issue as the problem.
I have a BD P2500 and am trying to stream Netflix movies. I have a 2Wire 2701 HG-B modem/router and have two computers hooked to it. There are still empty ethernet connectors. I have had the house wired for Ethernet and all circuits have been checked, recheckec, and tripple checked for continuity. It is OK.
When I connect the 2500 to the Modem and configure it in "Network" , I then try to connect to Netflix and it can't find the connection. I have called my ISP and Samsung and they have stepped me through everything that I had already tried I still get "CANNOT CONNECT TO YOUR HOME NETWORK", which would seem to say that I have a problem with the cableing, but I just checked it again and it shows proper connectivity. I swapped the cables from the other computer and the DVD on the back of the 2701 and the other computer is found but still cant find the DVD.
The only think that I can think of now is that the network circuitry in the DVD is faulty, but how could I chech that?
