Yes, you can get a cell phone with Bluetooth so that you can access the internet from your PDA. It's rather simple to set up and works beautifully. However, you'll find the speed to be pretty slow, since you are relying on the data to be trasferred from your PDA to your cell, to your service provider, then to the internet and back again. If that's not a problem, check you CNET's cellphone reviews for details about bluetooth-enabled phones, and cell phone user forum for any questions. Also, WiFi isn't an option, as it is used for connection directly to the internet or a network, not to a standard cell phone.
Hope this helps,
John
I was looking at the iPaq and Dell PDA's with wi-fi and was thinking how I could alway be up to date with emails and such on the go.
Is their a way to get a cell phone that has blutooth or something else (wiFi..?) That I can have the cell phone in my pocket and be able to use my PDA connected to the internet? I would rather have this then a Treo just because if one goes down I still have the other and such. I would just need a simple phone.. No touch screen..fancy stuff because thats what the PDA is for. So can I connect to the net with a cell for a PDA? Thanks
