connect dell inspiron 1300 to samsung LE22S8 lcd tv

Hi, I am having fun with this,

Connecting vga to vga, graphics card and computer recognises tv but tv wont recognise computer at all just totally ignores it. I have played around with settings and restarted computer.

Any ideas welcome,

Output?

Have you output the signal in the correct resolutions accepted by the manual?

If it's a laptop, are you pushing Fn+F8?

And is your BIOS updated to the lastest revision?

Yes, Yes and Yes. I go into the tv input menu and PC isnt highlighted so I cant access the tv settings at all.

With the television on and hooked up to the computer -

When you start the computer in Safe Mode, does it show anything? The POST listing? Anything at all?
