Connect audio from dishtv receiver to PC?

Mar 9, 2005 7:38AM PST

Sirius Radio is on DishTV. Is it possible to connect the receiver to the PC through a SBLive sound card? I do not wish to watch any video on the PC, only have the audio thru my PC speakers. Thanks for the help.

DishTV had about the 90 music channels from Sirius satellite. They have been on Dish since last fall. I have one receiver in my house connect to my audio system.
I am wanting to connect another reciever to my PC.

I can't see any reason not being able to hook up to your computer. If you don't have anymore audio output connection, then maybe getting a Y cable/adapter should work. Have fun.

Run audio cables from the audio out on the back of the Dish receiver to the audio in on the pc. Depending on the computer, you might need a y adapter like one of the other posters said, but it will work.
