I have an HP Pavilion dv5 Notebook PC and it has an esata port. I have an sata drive from a dead desktop. I know I can buy a cable with an sata connector on one end and an esata connection on the other. Is that all I need? Is and enclosure for the sata drive necessary to provide power, or does the notebook supply the power?
