IF your second router did this, it would NOT be in your room. It would get the same poor WiFi signal as your PC. The location would be the same as those (which I never deploy) WiFi extenders.

If you feel that a better WiFi would fix this, would a better USB WiFi device help?
Something like https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-NT-WGHU-Long-Rang-Wardriving-Extension/dp/B003EVO9U4 or https://www.amazon.com/Alfa-Long-Range-Dual-Band-Wireless-External/dp/B00VEEBOPG/
But the router as a Wireless Client (look for that in its manual) should have nearly the same performance as what you have.
Hello,
I am moving into a new place but the main internet router is quite far from my room with my desktop computer in it. I have an issue with my desktop which causes the wifi signal to be very poor (not fixable atm). However the ethernet connection is completely normal.
So I would like to have a router in my room which I can connect to using an ethernet, and have that router wirelessly connect to the main internet router.
Is this possible?
