Confused between these two dell models!

Mar 9, 2016 11:13AM PST

I am in search for a new laptop and I am stuck between these two inspiron models from dell. Both are similarly priced.
The only major difference is the processor The dell inspiron 15 7548 has a core i5 (5th gen) and the dell inspiron 15 5548 has a core i7 (5th gen). What I need to know is how big of a difference is it. Both are touchscreen versions. Please help. I have provided the links of both the models below.

Take a gander at just the CPUs at cpuboss.com

While I think it's light on the RAM you can never change the CPU later so the nod is always to the higher ranked CPU when all other items are equal.

I would go for the i7 since it's a more powerfull machine. If the price was further apart then how you use the machine would figgure but since the price is so close go for the more powerful machine.
