Confused and Need help picking laptop

by addabug / January 24, 2006 8:45 AM PST

I am wanting to replace my desk top (which is a Dell and the only trouble I've had with it is when the warrenty ran out they did too.)with a laptop. The only problem is I am so confused I don't know which way to turn.

I have checked with friends and you have one that says don't buy a Dell, buy a Gateway and another says don't buy a Gateway, buy a Toshiba. One friend tells me to not get one with a Centrino,to get one with a with a Pentium, and other tell me to get one with a Centrino not a Pentium.

What is the different between a Centrino,a Intel

Look at the Dell 9300 model, since you have had a reasonable experience with dell. Now that the dual-core 9400 is out, prices on the 9300 should get reasonable.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
