confirmation box question

May 3, 2009 1:02AM PDT

I'm not quite sure what to call it other than the confirmation box.

Example: I close out my photo editor and I get the check boxes on each picture asking if I want to save changes.

I remember when I first set up Vista being asked if I wanted the pointer to "Jump" to the appropriate box (or first box... I dont remember) automatically and I checked "yes".

Problem is, I usually have already saved any changes I want to save, but each time I click NO... the arrow jumps back to the YES box for the next photo even if I keep the mouse over the NO section. I have lost a couple of original pictures this way because I forget the arrow jumps back.

I'd love to turn that feature off, but now I can't find it in the options.

I'm hopeful for two things....

That someone can figure out what I am asking since I don't really know what term to use.

And can direct me to where I can turn the automatic part off.

Thanks

Disabling Snap To...
May 3, 2009 1:09AM PDT

You can disable this option by going Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Mouse, selecting the Pointer Options tab, and unchecking the Snap To option "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box."

Hope this helps,
John

John,

That was it.

Thanks is inadequate, but I certainly appreciate your help. This had been driving me crazy.
