And we can't get to the desktop we have to consider some pest if you feel the hardware is OK.
Here's some bootable Antivirus CDs -> http://www.techmixer.com/free-bootable-antivirus-rescue-cds-download-list/
Bob
This issue has been going on for 3 days and still I cannot get to my desktop.
I am using Windows Vista Basic.
Before I explain further, I must stress that Safe Mode + Command Prompt DOES NOT WORK.
I have been reading on several computer support forums but all direct me to try Safe Mode or go back to an earlier date with system recovery. System recovery does not work, and ends with an error code saying, "The system cannot find the file specified (0X80070002)".
I hope there are more solutions available. I do have my OS cds if they are needed. The system repair option on it does not work, however.
Lastly I would like to say I am not seeking to completely wipe my computer. Please help and thank you!
