Question

Configure XBMC resolution on external display

Oct 11, 2014 10:39AM PDT

I'm currently attempting ot repurpose a Dell Inspiron 1200 as a multimedia center using LUbuntu 14.04. I am trying to get the laptop to use a VGA display, but the display has a default resolution of 1280x1024, which is much higher than the laptop display at 1024x768. Because of this XBMC displays in a corner unless I load LXDE first and then load XBMC through the program launcher because I set the external to 1024x768 manually. I want the computer to autolaunch XBMC, either fullscreen as the default X display envorronment or through LXDE as a startup application. Any ideas?
