Question

Computer won't turn in

Jul 10, 2017 1:20AM PDT

Hi,

Last night I accidentally pulled the power board out at the wall. Computer now won't turn on. Tries for half a second then switches off, tries again, off. Over and over.

Heres the weird bit. Took it to a PC place today thinking power supply?? He plugs a cord in, on it goes. No issue. We both assume it's a cord issue, new cord, head home, same problem. Different power points same problem.

All of the internal components appear seated correctly and I've reseated the ram.

Any thoughts or trouble shooting steps would be greatly appreciated. No other electronics (PCs in the house) are affected.

Thanks

I assume you mean, you've tried several different power outlets in your home?

Normally, the power cord is never the issue in my experience. I'm curious if the computer was tested more than once at the computer repair shop you took it too?

Check your memory sticks, graphics card and even the CPU. Make sure that they are all seated correctly and nothing is "loose".
