Computer with Windows Vista restarting by itself after SD

Apr 11, 2011 2:25PM PDT

A friend has a computer with Windows Vista (32-bit) and after it's shutdown via the windows start button it starts back up after a short period on it's own for some unknown reason. Can someone give some insight on this matter. Thanks, Gary

Where do I find reboot on crash enabled & event viewer
Apr 11, 2011 2:41PM PDT

I believe I noticed in the bios setup something of this nature (reboot on crash enabled) is this where I disable it? And the event viewer where is it found? Thanks Gary

Sorry

I included a link so you could change the reboot on crash setting. I hope you can see that you could try a search engine or maybe click on start then help and type in Event Viewer.

Trying to help yourself will speed this up. Telling the forum more story such as "I recently installed a new Video card and drivers" helps too.
