Computer Will NOT Shut Down..

HI..I have Windows Me..and an ongoing problem. Upon shut down..at times..my computer will not shut down. continues to stay on..I have to shut it down manually...at times..other times it shuts down..Any suggestions.. thanks...

Hi..Also would like to mention that the NUM LOCK comes on at will. When trying to shut down.. It will not shut down when on. any suggestions...thanks..

Below is the link to the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base (the source of the article I linked in my other post). If you search on Windows ME, then enter "Shutdown" in the keyword textbox, you'll see that there are numerous possible causes of shutdown problems. Scan the articles and see what you find that may be relevant. You can also enter "Numlock" in the keyword box to narrow the results.
