Computer turns off by itself.

by namgoh5 / November 4, 2004 10:36 PM PST

My computer will turn itself off once or twice a week, or will reboot for no apparent reason. I thought it my be getting too hot, so I put a fan on it. The CPU temp stays near 100 now, whereas it used to get up to 125. I have an Athlon XP CPU, and I'm running Windows XP Pro.

I haven't checked the BIOS yet, but will when I get more info on exactly how to do that, and make changes that won't make my problem worse.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
