Question

Computer to stream video

Mar 30, 2015 8:37AM PDT

Ok, college kid graduating soon. I have some things I want to set up in my soon to be NOT college apartment. And one of those is a set up to watch digital movies on the TV. My parents always buy the combo packs that come with digital downloads for movies, and I am wanting to make use of that. I am thinking, a tv that can read off a hard drive would be a good set up. But from what I am reading, that is not something you can just throw any tv and hard drive together. Does anyone have any suggestions of what i should get? A certain type of hard drive or anything?

I use a WD Live TV which I can pop in some USB stick or drive. It attaches to current HDTVs with HDMI ports. It does not work with older NTSC/PAL TVs with the old red/white/yellow RCA jacks.

Don't see composite on this one.

It appears you have to shop around to be sure to get the BYMN model.
