Computer to Plasma

Lost in technology
Ok! tech junkies help me out..I currently have a 50 inch top o the line LG plasma with all hookups possible, also surveilance cameras hooked to the net. I want to view the cameras on my plasma(not just my computer in office). The computer I currently have is to far from the plasma for any hookups. I Also want to play music directly sourced from the net through my Denon receiver. I was looking at a Dell 9100 with a "tv out" is this correct?? Will it hook to my receiver? I would like to have a terrabyte of memory to tape my surveilance?? Is there better options? ....Please Help..........All advice will be greatly appreciated .....and needed Thanks in advance...Howdiedowdie

First the TV out is only a S-video at best.
DVI from the computer to the plasma TV would be the best to use. So you need a video card the has a DVI connector.

"would like to have a terrabyte of memory"
Do you mean terrabyte of Hard Drive space??
"tape my surveilance??"
What software are you using for this??? Usualy when using this type of applaction it is the only one running.

Streaming audio is not alwise the best quality. But a cable with the correct connectors would do.
I'm not up on that Dell stuff. john

Yes your right, hard drive space(terrabyte) Thanks for the other advice on the video card...another question for you though...Currently I am recording the comings and goings of peoples around my home through my computer in the office(it has 200 gigs of hard drive) Using four different cameras uses about 100 gigs of space in about 8-9 days....My computer is recording as I write this message what do you mean by having it as the only application running?? Doesnt the hyperthreading Ive been reading about allow me to do more than just record my cameras ie listen to music as well??
