Computer to Old TV hookup through Reciever

by cr6684 / January 17, 2006 2:52 AM PST

I'm trying to setup an old computer to an existing sound system consisting of DVD, Karaoke Machine, Reciever and Older TV.

I have a VGA to RCA connector on the back of the Computer connecting that to the receiver.

Basically everything is running through the receiver and then i have RCA cables coming from the video out on the reciever into the back of the TV.

This setup works fine for the DVD and Karaoke Machine but the computer will not display on the TV. I checked the Cables and the port and they both work fine.

Could my problem be that the TV does not have enough Pixels. Or does anybody else have some advice for me. Im kindof on a tight budget so I was hoping I didnt have to buy a new Graphics Card but that might be my only choice...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
