Computer stuck in power save mode

Nov 20, 2010 1:02AM PST

Hello, so I've really been having problems with my computer

I remember several months ago when ''restarting'' my computer that it stopped working & just staying in power save mode. Then when I'd actually try to turn on my computer from a shut down, somtimes it would stay in power save mode as well, to the point it almost always does.

If I unplug the back for a minute or 2, seems to be the only way I can get it to start now.. I left my computer on for a week straight because of this issue, then finally shut it down.. I opened the side & vaccuumed inside, after that it worked perfectly, and it even started up fine first few times... 2 days later it's back to how it was

I'm just wondering what could be causing this? It runs perfect when it's actually on.

Known to be caused by the BAD CAPS problem. The machines don't start and might start after a few tries. If you google BAD CAPS you find what to inspect for.
