1. Overheating. Try it with the cover off.
2. Pests. Scan with Free AVG AntiSpyware and HOUSECALL (both found with google.com)
As to possible damage, yup. What to do? Replace parts and retest.
my mates computer starts up fine, loads desktop and everything is working until about 30 seconds or so of being able to use the desktop, the computer freezes for a short period of time and then goes again. these stops become more lengthy and more frequent until all functionability is non exsistent. i can start up in safe mode and no problems occur, but as soon as i revert back, the same thing happens. i have flashed the bios and changed the startup config so there are not as many proccesses running such as lime wire or anti virus. but none of this has worked. i must mention that the pc was shipped to us and we found the h/drive out of its slot. could damage to the h/drive or m/board have caused this.
any help would be appreciated very much. thanks
