COMPUTER STARTUP IS TO LONG

Hello,
my computer starts up to long I have windows XP SP3 high speed internet how do I cut it down to where it can startup fast thanks for your help.

It would be nice to know how "long" really is? Check with a stop watch from pressing the "on" button to when the desktop with all icons is showing..

In the meantime, please click on the link below and follow the procedures to eliminate some of those unneeded startup programs and services.. (Before doing so, be sure to uninstall any programs that you don't use.)

For Windows 2000/XP, ignore the first couple of sentences about checking "resources" and the "Performance tab" in the link below but follow the rest of the procedures including the "Services" links at the bottom. In the "Service" link, using the "Safe" column in the chart should work fine for most.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
