Resolved Question

Computer starts then shuts down after processor change

I'm trying to upgrade from an i5 6500 to an i7 9700 however now when I try to power on, the computer comes on from a second then shuts down. When I switch back to the i5 it works again. I use an Evga 850 GQ power supply. This is my motherboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CX4VLK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s04?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm not sure if the i7 is the issue, the power supply isn't big enough, or the motherboard isn't compatible. Any help would be appreciated.

Does not appear to be compatible.

mobo upgrade

Honestly I just thought it would be fine because it said i7. It looks like upgrading the motherboard is the solution. Thank you.
