And I have a fairly nice monster machine. In the case I worked on this morning the disk I/O was maxed out leaving plenty of CPU and RAM free.
Fix? Run a few less tasks.
Copying files soaks the disk I/O so nothing wrong about this delay. It's part of today's computing design.
Windows 10 home, v1511, 3.0 GHz CPU, 8 GB Ram, 64 bit. If I copy a large file, say 6GB, from one folder to another, and then try to open the Internet or my email program or both at the same time, there is a very long delay before I see any action. When I look at task manager while this is happening, it shows CPU usage very low and also ram usage below 30 percent. And of course the 'task manager' also takes a long time to open. Is this normal for “my” computer or is there something I can change to improve the performance. I went through the “Black Viper” suggestions and did same, so some services were disabled. When "not" copying, Internet and or email opens rather quickly.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
