Question

Computer Shuts down when accessing internet

Jan 29, 2015 5:00AM PST

Hello, I have recently moved in with some new room mates and acquired a new internet connection.
However it looks like whenever my one room mate accesses the internet my computer shuts down.
I have logged on with my laptop without issues and my phone.
I didn't have any issues in my old room and I can access the internet normally as long as a certain room mate does not log on.

Any advice on this issue would be helpful.

Thanks

-Dan

Answer
Tell more about "shut down"
Jan 29, 2015 5:05AM PST

Some new folk write "it shut down" when they can't get on the internet. In the past we took shut down as the Windows shuts down and the lights go out.

computer freezes and restarts

It freezes my computer and then I get a blue screen with some text.

It mentions a DPC watchdog error.

That points to something else.
