Computer Shuts Down Unexpectedly

by spencerh / August 4, 2007 8:19 AM PDT

Help anybody!
Have a DELL Dimension 5150 running on Windows XP.

At least twice a day, my computer shuts down and goes to a blue screen that has a bunch of writing on it. It basically says it has a fatal error and begginning pysical dump of memory.
Also mentions about a Driver IRQL??? Then also says a USB.sys port is not recognized or something like that.

Looking for some fresh advice.
Thanks to anyone who can provide it.

The case cover came off, the dust cleaned out and the fans checked?

In reply to: How long since... asked for suggestions here at the MS Office forum for a seemingly non-Office problem. Are you having it while working with MS Office, and only with MS Office ?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
