Question

Computer shuts down during games.

Nov 7, 2012 11:46AM PST

Hello, my friends computer is randomly shutting off when he plays any game. We have tried new power cords, updating the bios, dusting the computer, updating drivers. Any other ideas here? Thanks for any help!

Has it ever worked?

I see no PC specs to work with. If it never worked, return it and get some other model.

Answer
Might be over heating

If the games hardware requirements are higher than what you have in the computer then the processor and/or video card could be over heating causing your PC to shutdown. If it is not over heating then it could be a flaw in the motherboard or processor. There is a program called system information for windows it is free I use it a lot. It gives you a lot of information about your system but go to sensors and see how hot your PC is running. Hope this helps.
