computer says hard drive isn't installed

Its a dell gx260. I googled but nothing happened. the bios wont show up either.

With power-OFF, open case and reseat the HD cable several times and then retry to boot again. If it works, good, if not then the system is doing what? Any beeps, sounds, etc. upon booting or any display as well. Were there any hints of a problem before hand this occurred?
