computer running at a dangerous level

Message keeps coming up in a white box 'computer running at a dangerous level '
i have plenty of memory left, i am running windows me, i have scanned and defragged but computer is still running strangly . i have a virus program which is updated all the time called trend micro pc-cillin, have i got to many programs in the back ground running that i don't know about ,if this is the problem how do i know which ones to shut off

If this is Windows 95, 98 or ME, no amount of memory you can add will expand the 64 thousand byte memory pools call RESOURCES. This and more is explained at the Memory Article at http://www.aumha.org/articles.htm The Optimizing Windows article might help, but some fall into the PARASITE TRAP and use just Internet Explorer.
