Question

Computer Restarts When Keyboard is slammed.

Sep 15, 2018 2:49PM PDT

So, I was using my pc and my microphone (which is on a stand that sits on my desk) fell on to my keyboard. For some reason this restarted my computer.
If anyone has an explanation or fix to this I would most appreciate it.

It did not RESET my computer. It just restarted it. In case you don't get it let me explain. The button that says "restart" that basically turns your pc off and on again, you know that? Yeah well thats what it did.
It just reSTARTED, notice the word "START" not "SET"

Riddle me this, sir

How is that going to help me in making sure that this does not happen again?
How is going back before it happened going to help and why would i need to?
Again, it did not reset it restarted. No files where lost.
That was my point.
Doing a restore is not helpful and you still don't understand.
I just need a way to make sure this doesn't happen again since its happened a couple times in the past.
Got it? Let me reiterate NOTHING. WAS. LOST.
IT WAS A RESTART.
IT TURNED OFF AND THEN ON.

OK.

1. don't knock your mic over again.
2. If your mic hit a combination of keys on your keyboard, this can happen.
3. You bang on about "restart," but system restore would take your PC back to where it was before the mic bash.
4. "I just need a way to make sure this doesn't happen again". So this is a recurring problem? Don't bash your mic on the keyboard.
5. You're getting SHOUTY now, so I'm outta here.
