Have you tried booting your computer in safe mode?
Hello if anyone can help it will be appreciated.
Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2.4 GHZ
2 GB Corsair RAM
2 Western Digital 250 GB hard drives
Motherboard: Intel D975XBX
OS: Windows XP Media Center SP2
Well yesterday day i was on the computer. Put it on hibernate/standby and like went out for like 1 hr. Then came back turned my computer back on and like when i was at my desktop and installing AVG anti virus software and my computer restarted.
I then was like doing my regular virus protection stuff, unplug internet and run scans in safe mode.
So then i restarted in regular mode and tried plugging my internet back in. And like once it connected, 10 seconds later my computer restarted.
I don't know what happened. I did this more times so i could update my virus definitions quickly. And i did eventually get them after many attempts. So i ran these virus scans which are all updated definitions:
Symantec Anti virus
Spybot Search and Destroy
Windows Defender Scan
Ok well after doing these and restarting computer without the internet plugged in ,i start up Process Explorer to monitor what program runs before my computer restarts again. So i plug in my internet and im watching. Then the computer just restarts itself again. can anyone help?
So the problem only occurs when the internet is plugged in
Oh yea and I've went to My Computer>Properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery Settings> Automatically restart off. And i get the blue screen saying the error : ***STOP: 0x00000B8 (0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)
